Founded in 1996 by TEDA government in order to encourage the development of high-tech and innovative science technology start-ups.
March 1996, the first company entered into TII, which was Dentsply (Tianjin) Dentistry Co., Ltd
Jan. 1997, the first overseas Chinese student company, TEDA Bio-tech Co., Ltd entered into TII.
In 1997, TII made the first investment to a medical company for its absorbable seam technology. By the end of 2007, TII had invested 15 occupiers, the total investment is about 1.5 hundred million RMB.
June 1998, the first R&D center, TEDA Bio-material Medical Engineering Institute entered into TII.
May 2001, the first State-leveled R&D center, National Nano-tech Center entered into TII. There are 6 State¨Cleveled R&D centers in TII so far.
June 2002, TEDA Bio-tech Medical Engineering Co., Ltd, which had been incubated in TII, successfully went on the first initial public offering in Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
December 2002, TII was awarded and approved to be the State-leveled industrial incubator.
Jan.2004, TII was certified for ISO9000.
May 2004, TII had the certificate for being the agent of property exchange and service, since then, TII has made the 18 cases of property exchanges.
In 2005, TII was certified as the agency for National Innovation Fund, since then, TII has helped 17 companies achieved fund of 6 million RMB.
