The TEDA government devotes to providing the best possible opportunities for migrant workers either on the careers or on their living conditions. There is a wide range of accommodation options which are safe, clean, affordable and convenient. Different types of accommodation are available to enterprises and individuals in TEDA area to be adopted. Below is the introduction to the three types of accommodation resources in TII as well as TEDA area.

For white-collar employees, TEDA offers 3 government-funded apartment buildings, which are:

• Ruijia Apt. (in use, with 400 beds)
• Ruixin Apt.(available by the end of 2008, with 1,862 beds)
• Apartment affiliated to the Service Outsourcing Industrial Park in TEDA (available by the end of 2009, with 6,129 beds).

For blue-collar workers, TEDA offers 7 blue-collar apartment residences, 3 of which are government funded while the other 4 are not:

Government-funded apartments
• Tianbin Apt. ( with 15,000 beds)
• Tianrun Apt. (available in September 2008, with 7,500 beds)
• Tianze Apt. (available in September 2008, with 2,800 beds)

Non-government-funded apartments
• Tianhe Apt. ( with 2,600 beds)
• Tianhai Apt. (5,300 beds)
• Tianjiang Apt. (with 11,000 beds)
• Guoxiang Apt. (with 13,000 beds)

For high-level talents such as major shareholders or senior managers of the company, returned overseas Chinese graduates engaging in state-of-the-art technologies, or Ph.D.s doing research in TII and TEDA, there are two high-grade government-funded apartments are available:

• Cuiheng Apt. (with 133 suites)
• Yinzhu Apt. (with 177 suites)

Applications for government-funded residences should be submitted to the Labor and Personnel Bureau of TEDA Administrative Commission, whereas applications for non-government-funded ones have to be made to the corresponding management agents.
