Inside the TII office building
Tianda Science Park boasts high quality conference space for multiple purposes. Regular conference facilities include two conference rooms on the fourth floor of the TII building. The bigger one is capable of accommodating conferences and seminars of up to 40 people, whereas the smaller one can deal with meetings of up to 20 participants. Both rooms are equipped with standard presentation systems, conference furniture, and air-conditioning & heating systems.
Outside the TII office building
The Scientific Assembly Hall (SAH), one of the biggest auditoriums in TEDA with a construction area of 6,770 sqm, sits just on the opposite of the TII office building, offering facilities which can accommodate up to nearly 900 delegates. The three-storied building comprises an auditorium taking up two floors in height and several conference, training, and exhibition rooms in the rest parts of the building. The conference hall and rooms include state-of-the-art presentation and conference systems such as furniture, overhead projectors, stage lighting and sound system. In addition, an outdoor parking lot is available for the visitors.
Currently, the SAH can be used for various activities including conferences, seminars, trainings, exhibitions, receptions and performances. It deals with numerous events of almost any size each year. What is worth mentioning is that the SAH will be the main venue for the upcoming meeting of local Chinese entrepreneurs and the YGLs (Young Global Leaders) from the World Economic Forum in September 2008, by which time a number of interactive discussions and themed exhibitions will be held in it according to the schedule.
In order to widely promote popular science and to publicize the up-to-date technological achievements in TEDA, the future strategy of the SAH will be focusing on the following three areas: academic seminars, pop science classrooms for youth and themed sci-tech exhibitions to the public.
